Website provision
When you access a website, technically necessary connection data such as your IP address, request time, browser and operating system details is processed to deliver the requested content. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functional and secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contact by email or telephone
When you contact us, we use your information to handle your enquiry. Contractual and precontractual enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; other enquiries under our legitimate interest in handling them pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information is retained only as long as needed to handle the enquiry or meet legal retention obligations.
Enquiries through the form
When you submit the form, your details and any optional PDF attachment are sent to our form server and forwarded to us to handle the enquiry, if delivery is configured. The form does not permanently store entries or files on the web server or in your browser. If delivery is unavailable, you can open an email draft and send it yourself. You must attach any PDF to that draft yourself. The optional copy function places the draft on your device’s clipboard at your request.
Our usage analytics
After your consent, we measure page views, clicks on navigation, contact options and documents, scroll depth, visible and active time, and use of the enquiry form. We record field identifiers and error types, but not entered names, email addresses, messages or file contents. A successfully sent enquiry may be associated with the pseudonymous session as a conversion.
The website and analytics database are operated by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG (Espelkamp) in Germany. Mittwald is our hosting provider. We do not send analytics data to external analytics platforms or AI services. Only authorised operators can access the database.
Your consent and a random visitor identifier are stored in your browser for up to 90 days. The identifier recognises this browser without knowing your name. We do not use device fingerprinting. Sessions are separated after 30 minutes of inactivity. Events and session data are deleted after at most 90 days. Technical connection data needed to deliver the website is processed independently.
Click and scroll heatmaps
Usage analytics also records approximate click positions relative to the whole page, reached page depth and rapid repeated clicks. These produce aggregated heatmaps by page and screen category. Forms, input fields, dialogs and private areas are excluded from position measurement. No text, screenshots or entered content is collected. At most 200 click positions are recorded per page view. Events are deleted after at most 90 days. This extension requires renewed consent; earlier consent does not automatically enable it.
Optional masked session recording
With your additional consent and when enabled, a sample of sessions is reconstructed to show movement, clicks and scrolling on a simplified page. All text is masked and forms, including attachments, drafts and status messages, are excluded. Audio, video, screen recordings and network contents are not recorded. This data is deleted after at most 14 days.
The legal basis for this optional analysis and recording is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information on your device is accessed, Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG. Rejecting has no effect on website use. You can withdraw consent at any time for future processing. The identifier is then removed and recording stops. While an analytics session exists, you can also delete the associated visitor data in settings. Contact us for further access or deletion requests.
Fonts, images and external services
Fonts, images and documents are served locally with the website. This website does not embed external marketing services or external maps. Our analytics described above starts only after your consent.
Links to maps, the previous NOVA website or other external services open the respective providers. Data is only transferred to their services when you follow those links. Their own privacy information applies to that processing.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object for reasons relating to your particular situation. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

Please send enquiries about the processing of your data to coating@team-nova.com.
